Gas Pains Part 2

Stumbled across this article. I can relate 100%. This is so true. Read on!

It’s bird, it’s a plane, it’s Jackie Chan!
by The Sarcastic Journalist

When it came to pregnancy, I always wanted to know how things were for other people. How much weight were they gaining, what their bellies looked like, when they went into labor. So, of course, I wanted to know when people felt the baby kick.

When I thought of my baby in there, I always imagined a little thing, just walking around on the walls of my uterus. Yes, I know it sounds silly. I get it. But? That’s what I thought. A mall-walking fetus.

Trying to explain to someone what those first few kicks are like is trying to explain a sneeze. You see it in your mind. You can almost feel it, but you can’t put it to words.

A girl I knew had described the feeling as “butterflies in her belly.” I went weeks waiting for the butterfly feeling. It never came. Then I started waiting for big kicks. They didn’t come either.

Even better, it is more like trying to describe a fart, since that is the portion of your body that is all wonky, anyways. Go ahead. Describe one. I’ll wait.

Finally, I caught on and put the television remote on my belly. When it started to bounce, I knew it was the baby. Even though I couldn’t feel my baby, I could see that she was kicking.

The best part about when the baby started to kick meant that we had “Interactive Fetus!” Interactive Fetus was a lot of fun. You could blow on your belly and make her jump. If you pressed enough, she’d start to kick.

And sometimes, if her Daddy stuck his face next to the belly and talked long enough, she’d kick him in the face.

Gas Pains

I have been having these weird "gas pains" lately. Oh wait, they aren't gas pains...it's my baby! Whoa. That little thing comes alive at about 8:00 (almost) every night. I guess it does kind of feel like butterflies in your stomach but sometimes it tickles me and makes me laugh out loud. It is the neatest thing.

I get to find out the gender November 7th. Mark your calendars. I am so excited to find out that I took that whole day off work to celebrate! I am not really sure what I will do after my appointment that is first thing in the morning but hey, it's a mom thing. I think. Ya, I can totally say that.

Reading Rainbow!

So, as most of you know, I love to read. Well, I would just like to share some books with you that I have read in the past month. Suggestions for new material would be appreciated. For some reason I have been averaging a book about every 2-3 days so I am running out of material pretty quick. Of course, all the books I start reading belong in a series...then I get sucked into reading the whole series! Well, here are a few that I have particularly enjoyed...
The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (its a series with the following two)
Enna Burning
River Secrets
Austenland also by Shannon Hale but not part of a series.
The 39 Clues: The maze of Bones-Book 1 in a series of 10, its the only one out so far...its by.... Rick Riordan I believe.

My next tackle is InkDeath...it just came out, it is the 3rd book in the Ink series and I have been waiting for its release FOREVER! Well, really only 3 months. I was also recommended a series (I know, not another series) called The Great and Terrible. I really am my own book club, I love it!

September 15th

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, CAM! Wow, can you believe that we have already been married for 2 years? Time flies when you are in love and having fun. I would just like everyone to know how much I LOVE being married to Cam. He is my inspiration, example, best friend, and most importantly, my eternal companion. I am so glad that for these past two years I have gone on the roller coaster of life with you sitting right next to me. Let me just flash back to some of the fun we have had together.

We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.

We played Pirates.

You let me hog the bed. You even took this picture for evidence.

You took me to Puerto Rico!!! Caution! Iguana crossing.

You didn't get too mad when I told you I spent $300 on Josh Groban concert tickets.

There is a lot more I could add but here are a few more things w/o pictures...
We bought a condo!
We adopted a kitten!
We are having a baby!
The past 2 years have been the best ever! I love you, Cam. I can't wait for the rest of eternity to continue to have a lot more fun with you right next to me. Love, Whit

Big Baby!

Here is the first picture of "Baby". Dr. Lloyd says its a "big baby" with a healthy heartbeat. Cam is pretty proud. I think my wish for a 6lb-er just flew out the window. We are still WAY excited!!! In this picture you can see the head, the little hands and the torso, the legs were too stretched out to be in the picture. Baby also sucked on his thumb the whole time. When Dr. Loyd put the ultra-sound tool on my belly baby would get mad and move his arms and then put the thumb right back into its mouth! CUTE!!!!

Swelling, Romance & Terrorism

Sorry...No pictures with this one. But let me have a little chat with ya'll. Lets just have a little review of the past little while.
If you haven't heard or figured it out yet, I'M PREGNANT! We are really excited. I don't think anyone can have an appreciation for pregnant people until they actually become pregnant.
Symptom review: No Vomit! But an uncontrollable havoc of nausea. It mostly comes at nighttime or when I start to feel hungry. Or when I move too fast. Or if I breathe to hard. Oh ya, and if I try to ignore it.
Nausea.
Tiredness....so much so that all it takes is a slightly longer than regular blink and I am out! Not to mention, exhaustion encourages a little bit of irritation.
Nausea.
Tiredness.
Tiredness.
Nausea.
Um, Breaking Dawn came out. I finished it. I loved it. I don't think this is a spoiler but Edward and Bella put everyone's "love" life to shame. Enough said.
We adopted a kitten from the Humane Society. She was 2 months old when we got her July 7th. She was so sweet...for about 23 minutes. She really likes to bite things, mostly cords. She has exposed the wire on every electrical device we own. Its great. Her name is Aida. Jazz doesn't like her too much but she puts up with her. Aida thinks it is mandatory that she gives me a bath (specifically inside my nose) at about 2:00 am...every night. She's cute. However, she is sweet when she does actually calm down and sits/sleeps on your shoulder (her bed of choice).
Well that is the latest with us. We miss everyone we haven't seen forever. Ciao!

My True Love

2 weeks and counting down until Breaking Dawn!!!
